How Much Do Facebook Ads Cost for a Dental Practice in Florida?

A straight answer on what Facebook and Instagram ads really cost a Florida dental practice: ad spend, management, and what each part actually buys you.

This is the first question almost every dentist asks me, and it is the right one to ask. The frustrating part is that most agencies give a vague answer on purpose. So here is the plain version, with real numbers, for a practice in Florida.

There are two costs, and they are not the same

The single biggest source of confusion is that Facebook and Instagram ads involve two separate costs that most people lump into one. There is the ad spend, which is the money that goes straight to Facebook to show your ads. And there is the management fee, which is what you pay a person to build, run, and improve those ads. They are different pots of money and it matters that you keep them straight.

When someone tells you Facebook ads cost two thousand dollars a month, ask them which part they mean. If they cannot answer that cleanly, that tells you something.

What ad spend costs in Florida

Ad spend is what you pay the platform. For a dental practice, I usually tell people to start at $1,500 a month in ad spend, minimum. You can spend more, and busy markets sometimes need it, but below that number you are not giving the system enough room to find patients and learn who to show your ads to.

Florida is its own animal here. The big coastal metros, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Boca Raton, are some of the more expensive ad markets in the country because a lot of practices are competing for the same affluent patients. Inland and mid-size markets like Ocala, Lakeland, or Port St. Lucie tend to cost less per result. So the same $1,500 stretches further in some parts of the state than others.

One thing I want to be honest about: I never touch your ad spend. It is paid by your practice directly to Facebook, on your own card. That way it is your money, in your account, and you can see every dollar.

What management costs

The second cost is management. My ad management starts at $1,500 a month, and that is a floor, not a flat rate, because bigger accounts and added services scale it up. That fee covers building the campaigns, writing and cutting the ads, watching the numbers daily, and improving what is working. There is also a one-time setup cost of $2,500 to $3,000 at the start for the on-site video shoot, the tracking, and the landing pages.

So a realistic starting picture for a Florida practice is roughly $1,500 in ad spend plus $1,500 in management a month, with the setup cost up front. Call it around $3,000 a month once you are running, plus the one-time build.

What that actually buys you

Numbers in a vacuum are useless, so here is a real one. At Stuart Dental Spa, the practice I built this system for on the Treasure Coast, the ads brought in 280 intake leads over about 90 days, and 146 of those were worked into the sales pipeline. Those are leads and pipeline, not patients in a chair, and I am careful about that difference. But that is the kind of volume a well-run system produces.

The thing to understand is that a single new patient in Florida is often worth hundreds of dollars, and a big implant or cosmetic case is worth thousands. When one case can cover a month of ad spend and management combined, the question stops being what does it cost and becomes how many good cases does it bring in.

The short version

Budget around $1,500 a month for ad spend and $1,500 a month for management to start, plus a one-time setup, and expect the ad spend to go further in mid-size Florida markets than in the pricey coastal metros. Keep the two costs separate in your head, keep the ad spend in your own account, and judge the whole thing on cases booked, not on cost alone.

If you want, tell me about your practice and where you are in Florida, and I will give you a straight estimate for your specific market.
